Manufacturing engineering is a discipline of engineering that deals with the design, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing technologies. Manufacturing engineers concentrate on the development and operations of production systems to produce quality, cost-effective products. Material processing devices, machine tools, robotics, and even computers or computer networks may be included in these solutions.

Manufacturing Engineering starts with the design phase and progresses the project from there through the creation of a working product.
